Diesel engine engineering has been modified to meet EPA specifications of NOx, hydrocarbon and other pollutants for 2010 and beyond. Some engines, as designed, require priming of the engine at higher diesel fuel pressure (around 70 psig) and for a duration of at least 2 minutes.
Engines are typically outfitted with a hand pump for this purpose. The operator has to manually prime the engine, which becomes harder as the pressure increases. After reaching the specified priming pressure, he has to keep this up for the full 2 minutes, a method which is tiresome and time consuming.
In addition, the process of changing fuel filters usually involves the loss of a significant amount of diesel fuel. This is not only costly, but it also violates the Clean Water and Clean Air Acts. ESOC has developed solutions for these issues and is proud to introduce the ESOC Series 350 and 450.
SERIES 450
The Series 450 has been designed to perform the functions of the Series 350 as well as facilitate the changing of all diesel fuel filters (cartridge and spin-on) while recycling diesel fuel.
SERIES 350
The Series 350 has been specifically designed to prime DD13/DD15 and MBE engines without Davco filters.
